At the 1966 Paris Motor Show, Maserati presented the Mexico as a four-seater GT coupé in the luxury class. The Mexico was based on a Bertone prototype from 1965. The production version was bodied by Vignale based on a design by Michelotti. The first series I the Mexico was powered by a 4.7-litre V8 with four Weber carburettors, producing 290 HP. From 1969 the 4.2-litre V8 from the Maserati Quattroporte with 260 HP was optionally available. In 1967 this very original Maserati Mexico was delive-red to its first owner in Brescia, Italy. In the 80s, the vehicle was based in the USA. The car has an excellent original coachwork and is regularly technically main-tained by the brand specialist Fa. Steinke in Hamburg. A Maserati Classiche certificate and a copy of the original order sheet are available! A really elegant car and ideal for the enthusiast for ita-lian cars to share with the whole family.
